Maryland fall colors

I thought I would dearly miss the foliage in New England when I moved down to DC. My worries were entirely unfounded.

Shenandoah National Park

This is my third hike in the park. The first time was a spectacular panorama on top of Mary Rock. Last time we came across two black bears. This time one of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen. I can't help but wondering what will be the pleasant surprise when I return next, maybe with my snow shoes...
